FLORIDA DEPARTMENT of LAW ENFORCEMENT
Special Agent in Charge Addy M. Villanueva
Special Agent in Charge Addy M. Villanueva brings twenty-two years of law enforcement
experience to this position. Villanueva began her law enforcement career in 1989
with the State of Florida, Division of Alcoholic Beverages and Tobacco where she
served for six and a half years as a Special Agent mostly working narcotics in an
undercover capacity. In 1995 she was appointed to the Florida Department of Law
Enforcement. She spent seven years as a Special Agent in various criminal investigative
units such as, Violent Crimes, Money Laundering and Narcotics before being promoted
to Special Agent Supervisor (SAS) in 2002. As an SAS, Villanueva served as the supervisor
of a Narcotics Squad and later the Domestic Security Investigations / Intelligence
Squad and Protective Operations Squad. In 2005, she was promoted to Assistant Special
Agent in Charge thus becoming part of the leadership team for the Miami Regional
Operations Center. Her area of responsibility covers West Palm Beach through Monroe
County, Florida’s most populous region. Villanueva is a graduate of Miami Dade Community
College, holds a bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice from the Florida International
University, and is a graduate of the FBI National Academy Class #229.
